Midnight at the Coryell's
Well, here it is, the middle of the night now. I was sitting here, creating this, my very first blog, because of the encouragement of Sarah whom I hope is sleeping right now unlike us. As I sat here, desperately trying to decide if peuce was a better background colour than sea moss, I had several inturruptions to distract me from the mind boggling array of fonts and background choices that await me. First my dear husband called my attention away to show me how terrible he is at wii golfing. I gave due sympathy and carried on. Then I was called away to look at how fun wii boxing is and laugh at his pasty white cartoon self who strangly resembles Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. As the blog set up resumed I suddenly had a little boy next to me with an absolutely giddy expression of excitement. What is he doing out of bed I wondered? We sent him to bed hours ago! "Look Mom! Check out what I did!!!" he says and shoves a large peice of paper under my nose. "It's for my report on armadillos!" I look and the most amazing picture of an armadillo was drawn in pencil, painstakingly getting every last detail. That kid has some serious artistic talent. I love moments like this and am so thankful we can homeschool these rugrats. I will let him sleep in in the morning.
